As Spotify looks to improve the overall experience, the app will not be available on Samsung’s Legacy operating system on select 2015 and prior devices. For more information, and for other ways to stream on your TV, check this out. From the TV's Home screen, navigate to and select APPS, and then select the Search icon in the top-right corner. Next, enter the app you want to download and select it. You will see detailed information about the app.
You can play Spotify directly from your TV, or by using your phone, tablet, or desktop as a remote.
- Paid Apps Termination. I received a notice about paid apps termination. Does this mean that I won’t be able to use apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, VUDU, M-GO, Redbox Instant by Verizon, Pandora and Spotify? I have purchased an application from the Samsung TV Apps Store before. What happens to the applications I purchased.
- You should just consider the TV a monitor. Do yourself a favor, go spend $150 to buy a 4K AppleTV for your app use, at least Apple supports their products and has no app crashes or problems. I don't know how Samsung can even call these Smart TV's, if they only are smart for a year or so. I have old Apple 3GS phones that support apps better than.
To see if your TV supports the Spotify app, go to the app store on your TV and search for Spotify. If your TV isn't listed, you can upgrade it with a soundbar or streamer that supports Spotify Connect.
